Wallpaper Series

Memories. They come in waves, helping me paint a picture. The gorgeous olive-green wallpaper of my childhood bedroom stirs vivid memories of its glorious patterns that left a lasting imprint on my mind. Perusing through old photographs led me to rediscover my mum’s school art book. Slightly burnt but a survivor, the books hold memories of mum’s time in school. Art that was well-designed, colourful and intriguing. These memories ignited by pieces from my world, influence my paintings, adding a rather distinct dimension in layering and storytelling. Thus commenced the theme that paid homage to my love for crockery passed down through generations, flowers, and fond memories.
